The Class of 2019 valedictorian, Kara Iwanowski ’19, is an exceptional artist and scholar. She has been commended by her teachers at the Baltimore School for the Arts for possessing a rare combination of grace, humility, and high achievement mixed with an equal dose of kindness and empathy. She possesses a formidable intellect that makes her a force in the classroom, but not such a force that she is unwilling to help students who may be struggling. She has been chosen as the state delegate for the Distinguished Young Woman National Finals competition that will take place in Mobile, Ala.
